Sudanese Medical Group Alleges RSF Murdered Sixteen Civilians

(MENAFN) A Sudanese medical organization accused the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Wednesday of killing 16 unarmed civilians in El-Fasher, located in North Darfur, claiming the attack was motivated by ethnic factors.

According to statements from the Sudan Doctors Network, the victims—including three women—were executed by forces linked to the RSF and buried in three separate mass graves on the outskirts of the city.

The network condemned the killings as a “heinous crime” and a “flagrant violation of international law and humanitarian principles,” emphasizing that the incident reflects a continuing pattern of targeting civilians based on identity and an intensifying cycle of systematic violence in the Darfur region.

The group urged the international community and human rights organizations to act immediately to stop ongoing abuses since October, which have forced thousands of civilians, particularly women and children, to flee their homes.

The Sudan Doctors Network placed full responsibility on the RSF leadership for the deaths and called for stronger global intervention to prevent further violence and mass displacement.

There has been no immediate response from the RSF regarding the allegations.

Reports note that in October, the RSF took control of El-Fasher and carried out massacres against civilians, amid warnings that the country could face further geographic fragmentation. RSF commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo admitted that his forces committed “violations” in El-Fasher and said investigative committees had been established.

In addition to Darfur, Sudan’s three Kordofan states have experienced heightened clashes in recent weeks between the army and RSF, forcing tens of thousands of civilians to flee their homes.
